Hillside, celebrating its 185th anniversary in 2022, today announced three major gifts constituting a challenge match for the community through December 31, 2022.

Three gift commitments of $10,000 each will be used to double the generosity of other Hillside donations received between now and the end of the calendar year.

Included in these gifts is a $10,000 commitment from Tom and Nan Hildebrandt, longtime supporters of Hillside.

“Hillside’s services directly benefit thousands of children and families every year, and help entire communities become stronger and healthier as a result,” Tom Hildebrandt said. “Nan and I recognize that supporting Hillside’s work is really an investment in our community. We’re proud to support this organization, and we encourage everyone to join us.”

Two other $10,000 matching-gift commitments were made by anonymous donors.

“We’re so grateful for these matching gifts, and for the deep belief in Hillside’s mission that they represent,” said Maria Cristalli, Hillside President and Chief Executive Officer. “Tom and Nan Hildebrandt are true community leaders, and this most recent gift underscores their commitment not only to our work, but to the importance of broad community support.”

Cindy Odom, Hillside Chief Advancement Officer, called the three gifts “a call to action for the Hillside community. These gifts will magnify the impact of other donors’ gifts, no matter the amount. Our agency appreciates these three matching gifts and their cumulative ability to keep Hillside strong.”
