WHAM-TV and Fox News in Rochester recently spoke to two Hillside employees about the agency’s community impact — and about opportunities to make a difference by joining the Hillside family.
In the interview, reporter Matt Malloy spoke with Kathy Holmes, Hillside’s Director of Family-Driven Care; and Wendy Chace, a Family Peer Advocate. Holmes and Chace shared their perspectives on Hillside’s role in helping build stronger families and communities, and how a wide range of personal experiences and skills are vital to provide Hillside’s coordinated services.
“I definitely encourage people to make that first step” and explore opportunities at Hillside, Chace said. “To be able to walk with other families through their journey – to help them not feel so isolated, to have hope, to be encouraged – I’m able to do that at Hillside. I’m very grateful.”
Hillside is hiring for a wide range of positions in all regions served by the agency. With on-the-job training provided for all roles as needed, many available full- and part-time positions require no more formal experience than a high school diploma or GED. The agency also provides competitive benefits, flexible scheduling and a minimum starting salary of $15/hour.
