Hillside’s first Annual IRA Costume Ball for individuals we support in Developmental Disabilities Services was held at Rochester’s Photo City Improv on October 14. This remarkable event offered Hillside youth and young adults a special night out of dining, DJ music and dancing.
Photo City Improv owner Dan Nielson and his partners Bob Canfield and Johnny Cattani generously donated their event space, time and support for the costume ball. Sticky Lips BBQ Juke Joint provided a sumptuous dinner package for the 70+ guests who included family and friends.
“DJ CMac,” aka Hillside staff member Chris Macomber) donated his time and talents to keep the party dancing all night. And guests were so proud and excited to see Christian, one of our residents and an aspiring DJ, bring down the house in his debut public performance.
This event was a shining example of how meaningful it is for the youth we support to be connected to the community in which they live. Hillside thanks everyone who helped to make this magical and memorable evening possible.
